SQUARE CHABOILLEZ, MONTREAL

Square Chaboillez, located in the block between Peel, Saint-Jacques, de la Cathédrale and Notre-Dame streets, has been turned into a beautiful urban park. More precisely, it is just north of the École de technologie supérieure’s (ÉTS) Centech innovation pavilion, formerly known as the Dow Planetarium. This new recreational space will be much appreciated by a variety of people, including local residents, the student community, nearby office staff and passers-by.

This urban park features four rain gardens that promote water retention and urban biodiversity. It also offers plenty of vegetation and grassy areas, and its pedestrian walkways have been landscaped with Bolduc’s Avenue permeable concrete pavers, which altogether improve vegetation cover and reduce heat island effects.

Products used:  Avenue paver 10 x 15 x 15 cm
