PROMENADE REDMOND, PHASE 2 AND DOWNTOWN ST-GEORGES

Promenade Redmond, phase 2 and downtown St-Georges

Phase 2 work on Promenade Redmond began on June 3, 2013.

The contract included landscaping work on the area and the extension of the bike path from the Les Passerelles footbridge to 116th Street. The company also landed the mandate to redevelop 116th Street and the parking lot between 116th and 118th streets, where forty parking spaces were removed to make room for more vegetation.

A lookout and rotunda similar to Rendez-Vous à la Rivière overlook the Chaudière river at the 116th Street level.

A concrete walkway was installed between the lookout and the David-Roy bridge. The project also accommodated the addition of urban furniture, tree-lighting systems, access to the river and landscaping.

Bolduc Avenue, Avenue interlocking and Citadin modular pavers cover 26,000 sq. ft.

Products used: Avenue paver 10 x 15 x 30; Avenue Autoblocking; Citadin M80 paver

Landscaping architecture:  Ville de St-Georges
