PLACE PUBLIQUE OF CAMPUS DE LA MONTAGNE

This significant gathering place for the academic community, formerly known as Place de La Laurentienne, located at the heart of campus de la montagne, helps to promote great enjoyment of the site, while protecting its architectural and landscape heritage.

Place Publique, inaugurated in 1968, is a major thoroughfare for the campus. In 1992, it was named place de La Laurentienne in recognition of a donation made at the time by the Laurentian Bank. Fully renovated this year, place Publique will no longer carry the name, which it bore for 30 years. By changing its appearance, the place simply returns to being place Publique of the campus.

Bolduc's Triangle pavers have been installed there.
