Collège Mont-Saint-Louis
Collège Mont-Saint-Louis is a private secondary school in Montreal’s Ahuntsic district. Founded in 1888 by the Lasallian Brothers, it has been run since 1969 by a parent cooperative association.
Collège Mont-Saint-Louis is not only renowned for the exceptionally high level of education it has delivered for over a century, but also for its historical influence in Quebec. Its students have established themselves in science, economics, politics, literature and art in Quebec, in America and around the world. Mont-Saint-Louis develops self-reliant, cultivated, inquisitive and responsible individuals who will not be satisfied with merely participating in tomorrow’s society, but will lead it to new heights. Demanding, rigorous and student-focused, Mont-Saint-Louis prioritizes high-quality French and provides its students with an environment that allows self-expression and freedom of opinion. It is a human realm where a personalized approach leads to success.
In 2010, Collège Mont Saint-Louis redesigned its outdoor grounds to make them more welcoming to its 1400 students and 150 staff. The project included outdoor gathering and picnic areas, an agora and stage, a road network, loading docks and parking. Vegetation was copiously added to the design to improve the quality of the environment over large swaths of the property.
